Since it’s the start of the new year, everyone is goal-setting, intention-aligning, manifesting, and envisioning the year of their dreams (or AT LEAST better than 2020…). If you’re interested in making a vision board to capture everything you’re going after in 2021, then this is the post for you!
In this post, I’ll go through some quick visualization pointers to get you started on the right path, and then help you create a vision board that can be used as a desktop wallpaper! That way its front and center for you every day.
Here’s how to do it:
Start with a vision
Now is the time to get explicitly clear on what you want. Visualize you in your most powerful self in 2021. Think about what you can see, hear, taste, and smell. Make it as real as you can! Most importantly, focus on how you feel envisioning your most powerful, future self.
Here are a few questions to help in your visioning:
- What is your future self doing? What is she not doing?
- Where is she? Why is she there?
- What is she wearing?
- What does her morning look like?
- How does her environment feel?
- Who is there with her?

Clarify what you want to manifest into your life
Turn your vision into vision statements that capture what you want to manifest into your life. There should be one statement per thing you want to manifest. Write your statements as if you have that thing right now. This is called scripting! And, its super powerful. Then, tie your statement to how will feel when you have that thing.
Try these formats:
I am _____________, and it feels _____________.
I have_____________, and it feels _____________.
Extra Tip: Write down your vision statements onto separate cards and put them onto your board to help your manifesting!
Search Google, magazines, and Pinterest for images and quotes
Pick your favorite places to search for pictures and select images and quotes that represent your vision statements and what you want to manifest in 2021. The pictures should evoke the same feeling you had while visualizing! Save the photos into a separate file on your computer for the next step.
Extra Tip: Type “aesthetic” after every search phrase to find pretty images!
Sign up for a free Canva account and make your board!
Now its time to make the desktop wallpaper vision board! Sign up for a free account on Canva and follow these steps:
- Search “desktop wallpaper” in templates (at the top of the screen)
- Select the blank template option
- On the left-hand side of the screen you’ll see a menu. Click on “uploads”
- Drag and drop your saved images into the “uploads” section
- Once uploaded, drag the photos onto your blank wallpaper
- Resize and reorder the images as desired (don’t forget your vision statements!)
- Once finished, download your wallpaper as a .png or .jpeg (top right of the screen)
- Change your desktop background on your screen and enjoy!
That’s it! Its pretty simple but super fun! Here’s an example of how it can turn out:
